“Artists spread out in new ‘gourmet’ space at Magnuson Park
Abstract painter Amália Couto, whose huge acrylics on canvas depict islands and strips of color against different backgrounds, says her new setup doesn’t just provide her with a larger, cheaper space than before, but gives her work new exposure.
“Having the client come here,” she said, “is going to be just wonderful.””
“ Amalia Couto’s Fiery Artistic Ammunition Sizzles
Amalia Couto, a Brazil-born fine artist, marks a deep impression in those with their first glance upon her works; her pieces are replete with bold brushstrokes and contrasting, brilliant colors.
Originally a stage actress, Couto gradually developed a zeal for art, for which she obtained a studio. There, she dedicated her time to painting.”
Couto’s works now are being shown at private collections and her local exhibitions.”
